The Doctors

Dr. Jeff Malone, a Tuscaloosa native, is a graduate of the University of Alabama, receiving Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Microbiology.  He received his M.D. from the University of Alabama School of Medicine after which he completed an internship and pediatric residency at The Children's Hospital of Alabama in Birmingham.  Dr. Malone began his practice in Bessemer following residency and moved the practice to the current location in Hoover in 1995.  He has a particular interest in pediatric gastroenterology, allergy, and infectious diseases.  He is a board certified pediatrician and a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.  He and his wife, Frances, are the parents of twin boys and a girl.  Dr. Malone is a golfer, a singer, and a computer nerd. 


Dr. Alice Hardy received her Bachelors Degree in Biology from Samford University. Following graduation from the University of Alabama School of Medicine in 2000, she moved to Chattanooga, Tennessee to join the pediatric residency program at T.C. Thompson Children's Hospital. Dr. Hardy finished her residency in 2003, and moved to the Birmingham area with her family. She began the practice now known as Chelsea Pediatrics at the Narrows in 2004. As of November, 2009, Dr. Hardy is moving her practice to South Trace Pediatrics. Dr. Hardy has a special interest in child and infant nutrition, and enjoys educating families about keeping their children healthy through good nutrition.
